Biography

Rachel Briggs OBE is an Advisor to Savanti, leading the development and delivery of our thought leadership strategy and products.

She is a leading expert on security. She has worked at the highest levels with governments and the private sector around the world. Her report, The Business of Resilience, is regarded as the blueprint for effective global corporate security and companies in Europe and North America regularly seek her advice, consultancy and benchmarking services.

She is an experienced Director. She is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Global Center of Cooperative Security, has sat on various Foreign Office boards, was Co-Chair of the European Commission’s working group on online extremism, and was a board member of the Risk and Security Management Forum (RSMF). She was Founding Executive Director of Hostage US and the first Director of Hostage International.

Rachel was awarded an OBE in 2014, received the International Security Management Association (ISMA) Outstanding Individual award in 2016 and was the Saturday Profile in The New York Times. She has written for many newspapers and magazines, including Financial Times, The Washington Post and Foreign Policy.

Rachel is Co-Founder and CEO of The Clarity Factory and an Associate Fellow at Chatham House.
